Do I have to pay taxes on my winnings?
Simbalotto credits your winnings to your customer account. Only if the winnings are over € 2500, we will assist you in receiving your payment directly from the lottery commission.
In almost all countries, smaller wins are tax-free. With some lotteries, there is a local tax on lottery wins, which will be deducted from your winnings.
In the US, when you play Powerball or Mega Millions, a local tax will be deducted before the payout.
As for the tax situation in your country of residence, we cannot advise you on taxes. Most countries have double-taxation treaties, which means that if a tax has already been deducted from your winning in another country, you will probably not have to pay taxes one more time at home. Please check with a local tax expert.
